“The brotherhood of man is evoked by particular men according to their circumstances. But it seldom extends to all men. In the name of our freedom and our brotherhood we are prepared to blow up the other half of mankind, and to be blown up in turn.

“…as an alien super-subject-object from whom one has to defend one’s ‘freedom,’ is such that if we all act in terms of such mass serialized preontological fantasy, we may all be destroyed by a ‘being’ that never was, except insofar as we ‘all’ invented her or it or him.

“Induce people all to want the same thing, hate the same thing, feel the same threat, then their behavior is already captive –you have acquired your consumers or your
cannon-fodder.

“This group inertia can only be an instrument of mystification if it is taken to be part of the ‘natural order of things.’ The ideological abuse of such an idea is obvious. It so clearly serves the interests of those whose interest it is to have people believe that the status quo is of the ‘natural order,’ ordained divinely by ‘natural’ laws.

“The group becomes a machine –and that it is a man-made machine in which the machine is the very man who make it is forgotten.

“It is just possible that further transformation is possible if men can come to experience themselves as ‘One of Us.’ If, even in the basis of the crassest self-interest, we can realize that We and They must be transcended in the totality of the human race, if we in destroying them are not to destroy us all.”
~ The Politics of Experience by R.D. Laing
Nothing in this life is difficult. It’s what and how we choose to label, which creates an attachment to a predefined set of conditions. It’s time for us to become more aware of the polarities existing in this life so we may consciously choose to transcend this man-made duality because it’s not Us vs Them!
In today’s meditation, I came out distinctly recognizing how we’re all READY! It’s just the duality we’ve learned ~ we doubt our own ability to know and discern Truth! Immediately after, I just happened randomly open my copy of The Politics of Experience and written above is what I found to be a key theme continued from the previous day regarding BEing.
I happened to have an interesting conversation with a young man who mentioned how trust was an issue he was working on. I pointed out how Trust initially has to reside within. It’s never another person who is untrustworthy but our own underlying lack of self-esteem and self-worth! If we are connected to our Truth, it isn’t even a question of Trust because it means we are in the Divine Essence of BEing.
This state of BEing no longer is a question of trust because it is natural flow and order ~ because there is no question of anything! It’s the connection to our Soul, Higher~Power, God~Source, and
What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder. Mark 10:9
Trust is, in fact, the polar opposite of Doubt and this only reinforces duality in word choice.
To live in your Truth is Divine Essence, it’s living in the natural flow and order intended!

Can you grasp a concept? There’s no doubt nor is there any trust. In fact, what most don’t realize is while they don’t exist, they also cannot exist without the other. Consider them a blend while those words do them disservice as does our spoken language.
We live in extremes. There is no such thing as good or bad but there are people who find it necessary to categorize. It’s another one of those distractions we’ve been conditioned into ~ comparing everything. We are so consumed by putting things in boxes. It is actually quite lazy. It means you have taken a pre-established view and you dismiss any other possibilities.
Pay attention to the next conversation you have with another because chances are you will find comparing, categorizing, and labeling to be the theme. Why do we do it? Certainly we feel the need to converse but what is the motive behind it? How does it serve our life?
We rarely appreciate what we have at any given time or moment. If you don’t nurture what you have, it will give you what you gave it!
~ Lana A. LaBonte
To transcend all of this is to understand you will experience something completely new, unknown to you. This is a massive shift in thinking, acting, and living. It will require you to accept the possibility that all you’ve ever known is not the Truth and everything you will ever need is right there within you ~ always has been! Scary at first, it will be exhilarating. How can we appreciate what we have if we haven’t experienced it before!?
Can you see any of this in your own life? What kind of imagination do you have? Do you think outside the box or only within the constrains of what society has imposed upon you?
Once you recognize the Divine Order and flow, you see everything as a Blessing!
