Sharing this from the postcard pictured above sent to me from Mom back in May, she shared a quote on the other side:
“It’s said God does not let us carry any burden we are not strong enough for…I wish He did not trust me so much!”
~ Mother Teresa
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ So, the question I have for you today is ~
“How do you reflect upon your days?”
Do you see them overrun with burdens or filled with blessings? This is a very important question because it shows where your putting your focus. It’s like when you say you have to constantly defend yourself because, subconsciously, this means you’re actually looking for reasons long before it’s necessary to give an explanation, excuse, or defend yourself to someone – and, by the way, despite popular consensus it’s not really necessary! I especially know this from my own personal experience. I had to reexamine my life and that’s when I saw how I manifested experiences because I felt I was in a constant defense stance.
Yes, it is true that if you feel you need to go to battle, you will find wars to fight!
Meanwhile, if you are consciously aware to see your experiences as blessings and you acknowledge them with gratitude and even write them down, you’ll find they pour in more and more like everyday miracles. This is why I highly recommend keeping a Gratitude Journal or finding a group where you can post and share Daily Gratitude Reflections. Trust me, whenever I do this, the miracles seem too abundant to count!
“Its not about living happily ever after. Its about living authentically ever after.
~ Jeff Brown, Author Soulshaping
The only way you can discern if something is a burden or a blessing is by acknowledging where your focus is originating! Are you caught up in your subconscious or conscious mind? The subconscious consists of the programmed behaviors and beliefs while the conscious is fully participating in this moment. The easy way to distinguish this is to consider things you do everyday routinely that require no thought. Let’s consider driving. Say you’re driving and suddenly, you find yourself at your destination realizing you weren’t even paying attention along the route because that’s your subconscious mind operating the car. Clearly you weren’t paying attention and your conscious mind was not engaged because you were not fully present while driving.
At any given moment, when we are able to recognize and own where our mind operates from, we are able to make the choices necessary to change our lives.
Watch this Anthony Robbins video to see how he explains how our decisions become our destiny!
Dr. Bruce H. Lipton uses Epigenetics to explain how our external environment influences our belief system, behavior and our health by our pre-programming subconscious.
Jesuits used to say, ‘Give me a child until age six or seven, and he’ll be with the church for the rest of his life.’ They knew that our subconscious minds are programmed through the experiences we have in the first six years of our lives.
Since the subconscious programs operate outside the range of consciousness, we don’t experience ourselves playing out these behaviors. Therefore, we don’t even see ourselves sabotaging our own lives, and as a result, we don’t take responsibility for the lives we lead. We see ourselves as victims of forces outside of our control. It’s hard to own what we’ve done our whole lives. So we perceive ourselves as victims, and we believe that genes are in control.
“The major problem is that people are aware of their conscious beliefs and behaviors, but not of subconscious beliefs and behaviors. Most people don’t even acknowledge that their subconscious mind is at play, when the fact is that the subconscious mind is a million times more powerful than the conscious mind and that we operate 95 to 99 percent of our lives from subconscious programs.
Your subconscious beliefs are working either for you or against you, but the truth is that you are not controlling your life, because your subconscious mind supersedes all conscious control. So when you are trying to heal from a conscious level—citing affirmations and telling yourself you’re healthy—there may be an invisible subconscious program that’s sabotaging you.
I used to say, ‘You are personally responsible for everything in your life,’ but people would look at me as if I’d slapped them. Now I say, ‘Once you become aware of the fact that invisible programs from the subconscious mind are running your life, then you are responsible for it.’
From the time we’re born up until the age of 6 or 7 we’re recorders taking in all the information, stimuli, behaviors, ideas, etc. from family and the environment we’re exposed to and live in. Can you see any connections with what you grew up with believing and how it’s played out in your life? Well, it’s all part of your current reality but once you have the information, you can also make choices to change your life.
So, keep focused on the blessings in your life because these are what will guide you to the path you’ve always dreamed of. You are the creator of your Life!
Love and Light Blessings,
